Association of Greek Mountaineers of Katerini (EOS - Ελληνικός Ορειβατικός Σύλλογος Κατερίνης (ΕΟΣ)

The Association of Greek Mountaineers of Katerinis (EOS KATERINIS) was founded in 1963. It deals with organized Hiking / Mountaineering & cycling routes, of different distances but also of several days, in Pieria and the wider region of Macedonia.

The association is committed to the protection of the natural environment. Through mountaineering, we are active on a cultural and social level.

We clean, mark and keep the paths open for everyone with respect for nature.

Our walks have many different themes such as: religious, historical, geological and geographical.

With the hiking program we offer the participants - members and visitors - the opportunity for sport & recreation in the fresh air and more direct communication with fellow human beings, and fellow climbers.

We also learn about natural landscapes, knowing to appreciate, the ecological relationships for animals and plants. We fulfill the medium of thematic information an educational role with different views for everyone!
