A Night to Remember: Partying Among the Vineyards

Surrounded by lush vineyards and with the majestic Olympus mountain as a backdrop, I recently had the most unforgettable experience at a party hosted by Oraia Gi Winery in Pieria, Greece.

On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, I found myself transported to a magical setting just outside Kato Milia Pieria. The party was held at one of the winery’s nearby vineyards, nestled in the heart of the Pierian mountains. The picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of food, wine, and dancing.

As I arrived, I was greeted with a glass of the Assyrtiko ‘Two Oaks’, a dry white wine, with a distinctive lemon-green hue and vibrant acidity, that offered a complex and refreshing taste.

With the breathtaking view of Mount Olympus peaks and the fiery sunset casting its glow upon them, it was an experience I’ll never forget. It was as if the gods themselves were watching over us as we celebrated Trygos, the grape harvest.

As the night progressed, I indulged in a delicious BBQ feast while mingling with fellow wine enthusiasts. The party’s highlight was undoubtedly the DJ set, which kept the crowd dancing well into the early hours of the morning. The energy was contagious, and it felt like everyone was there to simply enjoy the moment.

Some of them stayed all night beside the fire, enjoying the new fresh morning with an amazing sunrise from the Aegean Sea lighting up Olympus and the Pierian Mountains. It was an experience that every romantic soul would appreciate.
