Vrontou Mountaineering Club (EOS Vrontous)

EOS Vrontous was created in 1993. It is an important local organization that aims to highlight and exploit the incomparable natural beauty of Olympus and to create a mountaineering consciousness among its members and friends.

With more than 400 members today, it strives to highlight our mountain wealth through a range of activities such as mountain climbing, trail marking, and clearing.

Being a member of the civil protection of the Ministry of the Interior, the Association actively participates in actions of search and rescue of mountain visitors, guarding, and fire protection, especially in the summer season, in cooperation with the Pieria Fire Service.

NORTH OLYMPUS TRAIL VRONTOU (NOT VRONTOU)

The Vrontou Mountaineering Club organizes every year a 20 km long mountain running race called the North Olympus Trail Vrontou (NOT Vrontou), as well as a smaller one of 6 km called 'The Trail of the Holy Daughter', on the wild trails of North Olympus in area of the Municipal Unit of Dion-Olympus.
