Maybe you have noticed something about Experience Pieria.

We don’t post every day.

We don’t try to fill your feed with something new simply because the calendar says we should.

And sometimes, there may be several days between two posts.

That is not because we have stopped.

Quite the opposite.

We are usually somewhere in Pieria, filming, photographing, walking, meeting people, tasting something, discovering a place or working on a story.

We simply don’t believe that everything we experience needs to become a social media post immediately.

We Would Rather Tell One Good Story

Social media moves quickly.

A photograph appears in your feed, you see it for a few seconds, and then hundreds of other things take its place.

There is nothing wrong with that. Social media is useful, and we use it too.

But Pieria deserves something more than a constant stream of disappearing updates.

A mountain trail can be useful six months from now.

A story about a local producer can introduce someone to a place they would never have found otherwise.

A guide to a village can help someone plan a future trip.

A documentary can preserve a moment that would otherwise simply become a memory.

That is the kind of content we want to make.

Experience Pieria Is Built Around Stories

Our website is at the centre of the project.

On ExperiencePieria.info, we build a growing collection of places, experiences, people, food, traditions and stories from across the region.

The idea is simple:

Don’t just show people Pieria. Help them understand it.

That means a story about Mount Olympus can sit next to a village tradition. A local food story can lead to a producer. An archaeological site can become part of a wider journey through the region.

Over time, these individual stories become something larger: a living guide to Pieria.

Why We Invest in Video

A significant part of our work goes into “Discovering Pieria” (Ανακαλύπτοντας την Πιερία), our documentary-style travel series produced through Olympus Media Productions.

Instead of simply talking about a place, we try to spend time there.

We meet people.

We walk the trails.

We sit at the table.

We film the details that might otherwise be missed.

The result is slower than a typical social media post, but it gives us something more valuable: a visual record of Pieria that can continue to be discovered long after publication.

What We Are Actually Doing When We Are Not Posting

This is perhaps the part that is easiest to miss.

When there is nothing new on Instagram for a few days, it does not necessarily mean nothing is happening.

• We may be filming a new story.

• We may be editing hours of video.
• We may be writing and researching an article.
• We may be building new experiences and listings for the website.
• We may simply be out exploring.

Some of the most important work happens before anyone sees a post.

Our Content Has a Longer Life

A social post has its moment.

An article can help someone plan a trip months later.

A video can introduce Pieria to someone who has never heard of it.

That is why we are building Experience Pieria as more than a social media profile.

We are building a destination guide and media platform that can keep working after the feed has moved on.

From the Coast to Mount Olympus

Our stories cover the many different sides of Pieria.

• Mount Olympus — hiking, waterfalls, forests and outdoor experiences.
• The coast — beaches, villages and life beside the Aegean.
• Food & gastronomy — local products, producers, recipes and places to eat.

There is no single version of Pieria.

That is exactly why we keep exploring.

This is not an anti-social-media story.

Instagram and Facebook are valuable ways to discover new people and places, share our work and stay connected with the community around Experience Pieria.

We simply don’t want the algorithm to become the editor of our destination.

Our website, our stories, our photographs and our films give us more room to decide what deserves attention.
