17:00 – 22:00 EXHIBITION OF LOCAL PRODUCERS
Local producers of the Municipality of Katerini present their harvest this year. Visitors to the exhibition will try taste tests and collectible products while getting to know the people behind the deliciousness of Katerin’s products.

In Ano Milia
10:00 – 13:00 Walk on the paths of Ano Milia with EOS Katerinis
The experienced guides of EOS Katerinis offer us three proposals for walking routes that start from Ano Milia, “walk” the village, and lead us through the forest full of history, myths, legends, and traditions. Starting point: center of Ano Milia.

1st option: “PATH OF MUSES – PATH OF WISHES – PATH OF LOVE – OVENS”
Degree of Difficulty: 1 (scale 1 – 5) – Route Length: 5km

2nd option: ” MUSE TRAIL -BEECH TRAIL ”
Degree of Difficulty: 1 + (scale 1 – 5) – Route Length: 3.5km

3rd option: ” MUSE TRAIL – SAWS ”
Degree of Difficulty: 1 + (scale 1 – 5) – Route Length: 7km

11:00 – 14:00 Picnic and games “as in the old days”
Roasts, langites, treats, and games “like in the old days” for young and old in the beautiful square of Ano Milia. Grab your picnic tablecloth and all your good spirits to have fun with traditional games that teach children and bring memories to adults. With us will be the Center for Research and Construction of Ancient Greek and Traditional Games as well as the Department of Sports Development of D. Katerinis.

11:30 – 13:00 Woodcrafts of the forest
Young and old we give life to small pieces of wood. We paint in the shadow of the open lending library of the Beautification-Cultural Association of Ano Milia and compose a wonderful colorful collage taken from nature. Implementation: Areti Dziachristou, a special kindergarten teacher.

14:30 – 15:30 Guided tour of the Mastodon Exhibition
An extremely interesting guided tour is offered by the “MASTODONTAS-NEOKAISAREIA” Group of Nature and Man in the exhibition area, where one can see and learn about the unique finds of Greece in Neokaisareia Pieria, 9,000,000-year-old proboscidean fossils. Location: Neokaesaria

Our little cooks take the spoons and cook with local products for one more year. They learn the local recipes and have fun!
Location: Open exhibition area.

18:30 – 20:30 Cooking demonstrations by local chefs & local cooks
Cooks and local women present recipes from the region and compose local products for the visitors to taste through cooking.
Location of presentations: open exhibition space.

20:30 – 21:00 OPENING CEREMONY

21:00 – 23:00 “Rebetikos Peridromos” – rebetiko concert
In Pieria Ori and the center of Kato Milia, this time rebetika songs are playing with: Vangelis Petriniotis (bouzouki-singing), Thanasis Koustianis (baglama-singing), Dimitra Avrambou (violin-singing), Nikos Veletza (guitar-singing) and Thanos Noula (accordion-singing).

10:15 – 11:00 Revival of the “Tranos Chorus” custom
The ritual custom “Tranos Choros” that has withstood time is revived by the locals in the forecourt of the historic Holy Church of Agios Georgios.

This simple, proud, and majestic Greek dance keeps traditions alive. In the “middle village”, in the courtyard of the church, the Tranos Choros will be revived, which with unwritten rules defines the people who are part of the single dance group.

11:30 – 13:00 The Passage of Agios Kosmas of Etolos
Guided tour of the historical pilgrimage monuments of Ano Milia by Protopresbyter Fr. Georgios Golias. The area is an absolute Pilgrimage destination that is inextricably linked to the local history and the passage of Agios Kosmas of Aitolos through the area.

by Archimandrite Father Vasilios Nakas, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of the Assumption of the Theotokos of Petra, Olympus.
Location of presentations: open exhibition space.

14:30 – 15:30 Folklore Collection of the K. Milias Cultural Association “The Lazaios”.
The Cultural Association of Kato Milia “The Lazaios” guides the festival’s visitors to the areas of the rich folklore collection of exhibits that recount the region’s rich history.
Location: premises of the K. Milia Cultural Association “The Lazaoi”.

17:30 – 19:00 Cooking demonstrations by local chefs & local cooks
Cooks and local women present recipes from the region and compose local products for the visitors to taste through cooking.

21:00 – 22:30 Wine tasting
A special evening of wine tasting will form your most beautiful memories of the 3rd Gastronomic Festival of the Mountain and the Forest.

Let’s meet at the visiting winery “Orea Gi” and taste excellent local wines.
Location: Winery “Orea Gi” G. Pouliakis, Kato Milia.

The Holy Metropolis of Kitrou, Katerini, and Platamonos and the Municipality of Katerini have arranged for the transportation of visitors to and from the festival.
