Mount Olympus is more than a mountain. For photographers and creators, it can become a studio without walls — a place where forests, waterfalls, vineyards, olive groves, the sea and natural light become part of the creative process.

This is the idea behind the 1st OLYMPUS TFP FESTIVAL 2026, a three-day photography and creative experience taking place on 25–27 September 2026 in Pieria, Greece, under the creative direction of Daniel Wojtunik.

WHERE OLYMPUS BECOMES YOUR STUDIO.

The festival brings together photographers, models, makeup artists, fashion creators and content creators for three days of photography, collaboration, learning and exploration.

But this is not simply another photography meetup.

The destination itself becomes part of the creation.

A Different Kind of Photography Experience in Greece

Many photography events are built around a studio, a venue or a single location.

The Olympus TFP Festival takes a different approach.

Instead of treating Pieria as a backdrop, the festival uses the diversity of the region as part of the creative experience.

Over three days, participants will have the opportunity to work in environments ranging from the forests and chestnut trees of Mount Olympus to waterfalls, vineyards, an olive grove and the coastline of Pieria.

For photographers, this means different light, textures, compositions and visual stories.

For models, it means working in environments that are very different from a conventional studio.

For makeup artists, fashion creators and content creators, it creates a larger visual canvas for experimentation and portfolio work.

The landscape is not simply where the photos happen. It becomes part of the photographs.

Chestnut Forests on the Slopes of Olympus

One of the visual chapters of the festival takes participants into the chestnut forests of Olympus.

Forest environments offer something that is difficult to reproduce in a studio: natural depth, changing light, organic textures and constantly changing backgrounds.

The chestnut trees around Skotina create an especially atmospheric setting for portrait, fashion and editorial photography.

Here, the location does not compete with the subject.

It frames it.

Orlias Waterfalls: Photography in a Natural Environment

From the forest, the visual language changes completely at Orlias Waterfalls.

Water, rock, vegetation and natural light create a more dramatic environment for photography.

For photographers interested in portrait photography, fashion photography and editorial imagery, locations such as Orlias offer an opportunity to work with the environment rather than simply photographing in front of it.

Later in the day, the festival moves into a completely different environment.

At Kourtis Estate in Rachi, Municipality of Katerini, photography meets the landscape of the vineyard.

The afternoon and Golden Hour create another visual opportunity for portrait and fashion photography, while the estate also introduces participants to an important part of the region’s food and wine culture.

This is one of the elements that makes the Olympus TFP Festival different from a conventional photography workshop.

The experience is not limited to the camera.

It is also about discovering the place behind the image.

Photography, Learning and Creative Development

The festival is not only about shooting.

Under the creative direction of Daniel Wojtunik, the programme also places emphasis on learning, image selection and the creative process behind the final photograph.

On Sunday, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a Photoshop Masterclass and Live Photo Review with Daniel Wojtunik at Poseidon Palace.

The focus moves from capturing an image to understanding what happens afterwards — editing, selection, visual consistency and the creative decisions that can transform a photograph into a stronger final image.

For photographers building a portfolio, this is an important part of the creative process.

Photography is not only about taking the picture. It is also about knowing which picture to make and why it works.

An Olive Grove Experience in Leptokarya

The final part of the festival moves into another characteristic landscape of Pieria: the olive grove.

At Forelia Olive Grove in Leptokarya, the creative experience meets the Mediterranean landscape and local olive oil culture.

The colours, textures and geometry of the olive trees create another environment for photography, while the experience connects visual storytelling with one of the products that define the Greek landscape.

For creators, this is an opportunity to photograph not only a beautiful location, but also the relationship between place, product, people and culture.

Pieria is often associated with its beaches and its proximity to Mount Olympus.

The festival is also supported by Poseidon Palace Hotel in Leptokarya as its Hospitality Sponsor.

Only 30 Participants for the First Edition

The first Olympus TFP Festival is intentionally limited to 30 participants.

The smaller format is important.

It allows the creative process to remain manageable, gives participants more space to work and makes interaction between photographers, models and other creatives more natural.
