On 3–4 October 2026, the 3rd Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival returns to Pieria, Greece, bringing together nature, outdoor activities, adventure, culture and experiences across the region.
The main meeting point of the festival is the Municipal Park of Litochoro, at the foot of Mount Olympus. From there, the festival connects visitors with selected locations and activities across Pieria.
But for a traveller, the festival can be more than a two-day event.
It can be a reason to slow down, explore the landscape and discover some of the places, flavours and people that make Pieria different.
Come for the festival. Stay for Pieria.

The Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival brings together outdoor activities, nature, adventure, culture and local experiences in different parts of Pieria.
Rather than taking place in just one venue, the festival uses the wider landscape of the region as part of the experience. Mountains, forests, rivers, villages and the coastline become part of a weekend designed around outdoor exploration.
The festival first took place in 2024, followed by a second edition in 2025. The 2026 event marks its third edition.
For visitors, this creates an interesting opportunity: the festival itself becomes a starting point for discovering the wider destination.
One of the defining characteristics of Pieria is the way different landscapes come together within a relatively compact region.
Litochoro sits at the foot of Mount Olympus, but Pieria does not end at the mountain. Forests, traditional villages, archaeological sites, rivers, farmland and the Aegean coastline are all part of the same region.
This makes a festival weekend a good opportunity to experience more than one side of Pieria.
You can spend part of your day close to the mountain and, not long afterwards, find yourself looking towards the sea.
That contrast is one of the things we like most about Pieria.
If you are travelling to Pieria for the Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival, you do not have to limit your visit to the festival grounds.
Depending on your interests and the time you have available, you can combine the event with different experiences around the region.
Explore the landscapes around Mount Olympus, from easy walks and forest environments to more demanding mountain experiences.
Discover the traditional villages of the Olympus region, where stone houses, old paths, local food and mountain landscapes create a very different atmosphere from the coast.

Pieria is not only about outdoor adventure. The region also has a long cultural and historical story, from ancient sites to traditional settlements and local traditions.
A trip through Pieria is also a trip through local food. Look beyond the event itself and discover local producers, traditional flavours and places where food is part of the experience.
One of the pleasures of visiting Pieria is being able to combine the Olympus landscape with the Aegean coast during the same trip.
The previous editions of the Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival have connected outdoor activities with nature, local culture, gastronomy and the wider tourism experience of Pieria.
The idea is simple: instead of experiencing the region only as a collection of sightseeing stops, visitors can take part in activities and discover the landscape through movement and direct experience.
That makes the festival particularly interesting for people who prefer to experience a place rather than simply pass through it.
If you want to understand how the festival developed, you can also read our story from the previous edition:
October offers a different atmosphere in Pieria.
The intensity of summer has passed, the mountain landscape begins to change and the region becomes quieter, while the combination of mountains and coastline remains available for exploration.
For visitors attending the festival, this creates an opportunity to combine the event with a wider trip through Pieria — from mountain villages and forest landscapes to local food, cultural sites and the coast.
It is also a good reminder that Pieria is not simply a summer destination.
The region changes with the seasons, and autumn brings its own colours, temperatures, flavours and rhythm.
If you are coming from outside Pieria, consider staying for at least one extra night rather than treating the festival as a day trip.
A simple weekend could look something like this:
Arrive in Litochoro, explore the town and take in the atmosphere around the festival.
Depending on the festival programme, spend the day taking part in outdoor activities, discovering local initiatives and meeting people connected with nature, tourism and adventure in Pieria.
Use the second day to discover another side of Pieria.
You could explore the Olympus foothills, visit a traditional mountain village, discover a cultural site, enjoy local food or head towards the coast.
There is no single correct itinerary. That is part of the point.
Choose the places that match the way you like to travel.
Our suggestion
Do not try to see everything.
Pick a few places, leave some time to wander and allow the landscape to become part of the trip.
The festival is also an opportunity to meet the people, organisations, businesses and professionals who are involved in outdoor activities, tourism, gastronomy and culture in Pieria.
This connection between local people and visitors is an important part of the experience.
It gives travellers the opportunity to discover the region not only through its landscapes, but also through the people who live and work here.
And often, those are the encounters that stay with you longer than the places themselves.
If you are travelling to Pieria for the Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival, consider turning the weekend into a longer stay.
Explore Litochoro and the foothills of Mount Olympus. Discover traditional mountain villages. Look for local food and producers. Visit places connected with the history and culture of Pieria. Or simply spend some time by the sea.
Pieria brings together mountains and sea within the same region, making it possible to combine different kinds of experiences during one trip.
