In May 2024, the Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival brought together outdoor activities, nature experiences and cultural events in and around Litochoro and Pieria.

We were there to experience and document the festival — discovering a different way to explore the region, through movement, landscapes, local people and activities that take visitors beyond the usual sightseeing.

What Was the Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival?

The Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival was built around a simple idea: to bring people closer to the landscapes and outdoor experiences of Pieria.

The 2024 programme combined adventure activities with nature, culture and local gastronomy, creating a weekend that was not limited to one type of traveller or one kind of activity.

For some, the attraction was the mountain. For others, it was cycling, canyoning, climbing, nature observation or simply discovering another side of the region.

The common element was the landscape of Mount Olympus and the wider Pieria region.

From the mountain environment around Litochoro to activities involving nature, movement and local culture, the festival offered a snapshot of the many ways in which Pieria can be experienced.

For us, that is what makes an event like this worth documenting: the activity is only part of the story. The place is the bigger story.
