Thèros | First Big 3-Day Summer Event in Katerini, Pieria region!
Undoubtedly, Summer is the best season of the year in Pieria region. Summertime seems specially designed to share fun, family adventures, tastiest food, and perfect weather.
This year in the Municipality of Katerini , especially in Paralia, Olympic Beach, and Korino, on June 9, 10 & 11 , you will enjoy Thèros Event . It is the first summer multi-thematic, music, dance, and activities summer event for children organized by the Vice-Mayor of Tourism.
Thèros is an ancient Greek word related to Greek Mythology associated with the Imposing Olympus and the Winged Daughter of The Mythical Sun God.

Summer cinema [21:00]: Bring your towel and come for a summer movie of a family film on the sandy beach of the Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa 5* on Kallithea Beach.
Cocktail Party [21:00]: Enjoy a free entry to the sand Bar with drinks from the Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa 5*.

All Day Book Cross: All-day “open library” activity on the stunning walking route from Paralia to Olympic Beach with the contribution of the Katerini Municipal Library.
In Paralia Katerinis:-
Photography excursion (meeting time 5:45): All Photography Lovers can meet at sunrise after the port of Paralia, at the height of the old HAVANA.
Informative activity – Getting to know Katerina’s Seatracs [10:00]: Information activity next to Seatrac at Kallithea Beach (between Mandala and Almira Beach bar).
Informational activity – Rescue demonstration [11:00]: by the Pieria Rescue Team, next to Seatrac on Kallithea Beach (between Mandala and Almira Beach bar).
“Art with pebbles” [11:30]. Young and old, we become pebble artists in the company of Domniki Karantziou. Meeting point: Paralia Pier.
Storytelling [17:30]: “Dimitros the scandalous,” Christina Demertsidou tells on the pier of Paralia, “Once upon a time, on Olympus, on the famous mountain…”
Photobooth with Instaphotos [18:00-22:00]: In the central square of Paralia, take your best pose and freely get the funniest souvenir of this year’s Thèros.
Game in the sand – Survivor for children [18:00-20:00]: On the beach next to the Paralia pier.
Street Music [19:00-21:00]: Street Bands change the atmosphere on the promenade of Paralia.

Opening Ceremony [20:30]: In the central square of Paralia, with dances by the Paralia Educational and Beautician Association and a concert with Greek repertoire by the Katerini Polytonic Orchestra. The ceremony will be accompanied by winemakers from the Municipality of Katerini.
